Denver Nuggets two-way small forward Spencer Jones recently discussed what he’s proven as a player so far this season (averaging 4.6 PPG/2.1 RPG/0.7 APG/0.6 SPG/0.2 BPG/0.6 TOV/2.3 PF/57.1% FG/72.0% 2-PT/45.2% 3-PT/69.6% eFG/64.3% FT in nineteen games played).

(via DNVR Sports):

“I’ve proven that I’m a pretty good defender, and I can handle my own against some of the star players. I’ve now proven that you can’t really leave me alone and have to respect my jumper, which (I’m) happy to have proven because I definitely have confidence in it. But it’s the NBA, they’re going to test you and everything like that. And so, I think those are the main things we need, especially for the playoffs — you just need guys who can defend and then guys who are going to stretch out the defense and give more room for Nikola [Jokic] and stuff like that. So I feel like that’s all I’ve needed to prove, and I feel like I’ve done that so far.”
