Zach LaVine scored a season-high 42 points, including eight 3-pointers, leading the Sacramento Kings to a 127-111 win over the Miami Heat on Saturday at Kaseya Center. The victory marked Sacramento’s first double-digit win of the season and snapped a four-game losing streak.
Keegan Murray contributed 16 points, Nique Clifford added 15, and DeMar DeRozan finished with 13 for the Kings, who improved to 6-17. Sacramento dominated from start to finish, building a season-high 28-point lead in the third quarter.
Miami, playing without Tyler Herro, Davion Mitchell, and Pelle Larsson, struggled to keep pace despite Jaime Jaquez Jr.’s 27 points and Simone Fontecchio’s 20. Norman Powell added 18, while Andrew Wiggins scored 13 as the Heat dropped to 14-10.
LaVine set the tone early, scoring 29 points by halftime and helping the Kings finish the second quarter on a 23-7 run to take a 72-55 lead. Sacramento outrebounded Miami 45-41 and outscored the Heat 64-50 in the paint.
The Heat briefly cut the lead to 15 in the fourth quarter but never mounted a serious comeback. LaVine’s efficient shooting, combined with contributions from Murray and Clifford, allowed Sacramento to control the tempo throughout the night.
The Kings also hit 42% from beyond the arc, with LaVine accounting for nearly half of those makes. Sacramento’s bench added 37 points, providing critical depth against Miami’s undermanned rotation.
With the win, the Kings secured their largest margin of victory in Miami history, improving their all-time record in the city to 7-31. LaVine’s performance marked his highest-scoring game since joining Sacramento and tied his career best for 3-pointers in a single game this season.
Sacramento will visit Indiana on Monday, while the Heat travel to Orlando for an NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday.
