Lauri Markkanen scored 30 points and Keyonte George added 29 as the Utah Jazz closed strong to beat the Brooklyn Nets 123–110 on Thursday night at Barclays Center.
Utah improved to 8–13 by outscoring Brooklyn 42–20 in the fourth quarter and turning a tight game into its most efficient offensive stretch of the season.
Markkanen and George combined for 18 points in the final period, nearly matching the Nets’ entire output and steering Utah to its second straight road win.
The Jazz shot 14-for-22 in the fourth and finished with 51% shooting overall, leaning on their two leading scorers after trailing by 15 in the first half.
Kyle Filipowski contributed 15 points and eight rebounds while spacing the floor and hitting a key 3-pointer during Utah’s decisive run.
Walter Clayton Jr. delivered 13 points off the bench, giving Utah a burst of scoring that complemented George’s playmaking and Markkanen’s interior finishing.
Brooklyn fell to 5–17 despite a standout performance from Noah Clowney, who scored 29 points on 8-for-15 shooting and made 10 of 12 free throws.
Ziaire Williams added 23 points in 28 minutes off the bench, knocking down three 3-pointers and sparking the Nets’ early separation.
The Nets were tied at 98 with 6:29 to play when George drilled back-to-back 3s that shifted momentum in Utah’s favor.
Williams hit a 3-pointer on the next possession, but Tyrese Martin stepped out of bounds on a drive, and Brice Sensabaugh converted two free throws to extend the lead to 106–101.
Filipowski followed with a corner three, and Markkanen added another after Clowney scored inside to stretch the gap to 112–103 with 3:39 remaining.
Utah closed the game by forcing misses and securing rebounds, limiting Brooklyn to 26% shooting from beyond the arc.
The Nets played without leading scorer Michael Porter Jr., who rested for injury management after scoring 33 points in Wednesday’s win at Chicago.
Brooklyn also struggled with ball security, committing 17 turnovers that led to 19 Utah points.
Markkanen finished with eight rebounds, and George posted 10 assists, marking one of his most balanced performances of the season.
Svi Mykhailiuk and Ace Bailey added steady contributions as the Jazz totaled 31 assists and controlled the final minutes with patient offensive execution.
Utah remains in New York for a Friday matchup at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks.
Brooklyn returns home on Saturday to face the New Orleans Pelicans as it looks to rebound from its first loss in three games.
