The Charlotte Hornets (6-15) travel to face the New York Knicks (13-7) on Wednesday, December 3, at Madison Square Garden.
Charlotte is coming off a 103-116 loss at Brooklyn, while New York fell 117-123 at Boston in its most recent outing.
The Hornets are dealing with multiple absences. Tre Mann (left ankle), Brandon Miller (left shoulder), Josh Green (left shoulder), Pat Connaughton (right calf), and Grant Williams (right knee) are all out.
LaMelo Ball is listed as probable with left wrist soreness, which could affect his ability to orchestrate the Hornets’ offense; he averages 18.9 points and 8.9 assists per game.
New York will be without OG Anunoby (left hamstring), Mitchell Robinson (left ankle), and Landry Shamet (right shoulder). Kevin McCullar Jr. is questionable.
Despite the absences, Jalen Brunson continues to lead the team at 27.7 points and 6.5 assists, with Karl-Anthony Towns adding 22.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest.
Charlotte will rely on Miles Bridges (21.7 points, 6.1 rebounds) and Kon Knueppel (18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds) to compensate for the missing starters.
For the Knicks, Brunson and Towns remain the focal points on offense, while the supporting cast, including Mikal Bridges (17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds) and Josh Hart (11.8 points, 7.7 rebounds), will need to step up.
This will be the first meeting of the 2025-26 season between Charlotte and New York.
