Los Angeles Lakers power forward Rui Hachimura spoke about the unusual experience of facing Anthony Davis in another team’s colors, something he still hasn’t fully adjusted to.

As Khobi Price of The Southern California News Group shared in a video, Hachimura acknowledged that the sight still catches him off guard.

“It’s still weird sometimes when I see him on the TV or like, when I play against him. It feels weird,” Hachimura said.

Friday marked Davis’ first appearance against the Lakers since joining the Dallas Mavericks, as he had been sidelined for a month with a calf strain.

Despite the circumstances, the 10-time All-Star was greeted respectfully by the Los Angeles crowd.

According to Mark Medina, Davis received a “warm reception” when he was introduced as a starter for Dallas.
