ImageCSKA made a turn this year and is trying to rely more on young Russian players, partly due to the infamous economic crisis. The crisis however does not seem to affect all Russian teams  and especially not Khimki.

The Russian club has proceded in some impressive aquisitions so far in Raul Lopez, Carlos Cabezas and Robertas Javtokas in an effort to strengthen the club for next years Euroleague campaign.

In this frame it seems that young Russian talents do not have a place in Khimki as the club decided not to renew the contracts of neither Vladimir Dyachok nor Nikita Shabalkin who will continue their careers elsewhere.
