Maccabi Tel Aviv announced the signing of Danish guard Gabriel “Iffe” Lundberg for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. The 30-year-old, who plays both point guard and shooting guard, brings extensive EuroLeague experience with 129 appearances over the last five seasons.

Head coach Oded Kattash highlighted Lundberg’s versatility and experience. “He’s a guard with a lot of EuroLeague experience, quality, and defensive ability. He can help us in many aspects,” Kattash said.

Lundberg will join the team gradually and is not expected to play during the upcoming EuroLeague doubleweek. He will integrate into the roster after Maccabi returns from their trip to Belgrade.

The Danish guard comes off a season with Partizan Belgrade, where he averaged 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3 assists in 14.9 minutes per game in the EuroLeague.

Lundberg’s career includes stints with top European clubs such as CSKA Moscow, Virtus Bologna, and Manresa. He also briefly played in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns in 2022, becoming the first Danish player in the league.

In EuroLeague competition, Lundberg has averaged 9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over 21 minutes per game. His ability to score both inside and from beyond the arc will bolster Maccabi’s offensive options.

Lundberg expressed excitement about joining Maccabi. “It’s one of the most respected and enthusiastic clubs in Europe. I can’t wait to be part of it, compete, and give my all,” he said.
