Anthony Edwards scored 26 points to pace the Minnesota Timberwolves to a dominant 144-117 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night at Golden 1 Center. Edwards also added five assists, four rebounds, and two steals in the win.

Edwards shot 7 of 16 from the field, 5 of 11 from three-point range, and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line, extending his recent hot streak after a 37-point performance in Friday’s 137-97 win over the Utah Jazz. Jaden McDaniels contributed 21 points, while Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert each scored 19. Gobert also had 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Minnesota jumped out to a 67-48 halftime lead, fueled by Edwards’ 16 points in the second quarter, including three three-pointers and five of six free throws. The Timberwolves dominated inside the paint, scoring 64 points there over the course of the game.

Naz Reid added 13 points off the bench, and Minnesota’s bench overall provided crucial scoring, keeping the Timberwolves in control throughout the contest. The team outscored Sacramento 40-30 in the third quarter, effectively putting the game away before the fourth.

For Sacramento, Zach LaVine led the way with 26 points, and DeMar DeRozan added 22. Domantas Sabonis returned from injury to post 20 points and 13 rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Kings struggled to keep pace, allowing Minnesota to build leads as large as 28 points.

Edwards got going after missing his first five shots, hitting a three-pointer and following with a four-point play early in the second quarter. The Timberwolves’ offensive surge included 40 points across the second and third quarters, giving Minnesota a decisive edge heading into the final frame.

The Timberwolves improve to 6-4 on the season, while the Kings fall to 3-7. Minnesota will visit Utah on Monday night, and Sacramento returns home to host the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
