Kevin Durant delivered 31 points and a decisive jumper in the final minutes as the Houston Rockets closed their road trip with a 122-115 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday at Fiserv Forum.
Houston improved to 6-3 after outscoring Milwaukee 22-7 over the last 4:33.
Durant shot 11 of 15 from the field and added a season-high seven assists, guiding Houston to its sixth win in seven games.
Alperen Sengun finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists as he anchored the interior.
Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Sheppard each scored 16 to help the Rockets overcome a deficit that lasted most of the night.
Milwaukee dropped to 6-4 despite 37 points and eight rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks struggled at the foul line, shooting 14 of 24, with Antetokounmpo going 1 of 4 in the final 89 seconds.
Ryan Rollins added 19 points, while Myles Turner scored 13 and recorded three steals and three blocks.
Houston regained the lead for the first time since the opening period when Smith hit a three-pointer with 1:42 remaining.
Rollins tied it with a driving layup 25 seconds later, but Durant answered with a pull-up jumper on the next possession.
Antetokounmpo had a chance to tie the game with 1:29 left but missed both free throws.
Sengun converted inside to extend the margin to 117-113 with 1:09 remaining.
Antetokounmpo made the first of two free throws with 38 seconds left but missed the second.
Sengun then scored through contact at the rim with 23 seconds left, completing a three-point play that sealed the outcome.
Amen Thompson added 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in 37 minutes, while the Rockets shot 53.3% overall.
Houston also made 10 of 26 from beyond the arc and committed 17 turnovers.
Milwaukee shot 55.7% and hit 13 of 29 from deep, but the free-throw disparity and late-game execution swung the momentum.
Bobby Portis scored 11 off the bench, and Cole Anthony contributed 12 points and six assists in 18 minutes.
Houston returns home for three straight games, beginning Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.
Milwaukee continues its schedule with a road meeting against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
