OG Anunoby scored 25 points while Jalen Brunson added 23 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds to lead the New York Knicks to a 137-114 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks improved to 5-3 overall and extended their perfect home record to 5-0, dominating the second half after trailing by four at halftime. Josh Hart contributed 18 points as New York turned 21 offensive rebounds into 31 second-chance points.

Anthony Edwards returned for Minnesota after missing four games with a strained right hamstring, finishing with 15 points in 29 minutes. The Wolves were outscored by 25 points while Edwards was on the court.

Julius Randle led the Timberwolves with 32 points, and Donte DiVincenzo added 21 in front of the Madison Square Garden crowd that once cheered them before their trade to Minnesota. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Randle scored 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the first half, while DiVincenzo made four 3-pointers and added 12 points, helping Minnesota maintain a 58-54 lead at halftime.

The Knicks took control in the third quarter with a 10-0 run led by Brunson and Anunoby, building a 76-67 lead. Edwards responded with a three-point play and a 3-pointer, but New York’s momentum was unstoppable. Brunson’s 3-pointer with 2:30 left in the period capped a 21-9 run, giving the Knicks an 87-76 lead.

New York outscored Minnesota 40-28 in the third and carried an 94-86 advantage into the final quarter. Anunoby scored eight straight points early in the fourth and totaled 18 in the second half, keeping the Timberwolves at bay.

The Knicks host the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, while Minnesota travels to face the Utah Jazz on Friday.
