Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards could be nearing his return to the court, as the team announced he’s been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday’s matchup against the New York Knicks.

Edwards has missed the last four games with a right hamstring strain that was first revealed through an MRI last week.

At the time, the Timberwolves said he would be reevaluated in one week, though early reports suggested the injury could sideline him for at least two.

A team press release on Monday confirmed that Edwards has been cleared to resume contact basketball activities – a positive step toward returning to full action.

His potential availability for Wednesday would be a major lift for Minnesota, which has gone 2–2 in his absence, picking up road victories over the Hornets and Nets before their trip to Madison Square Garden.

Before his injury, the 24-year-old guard was in strong form, scoring 41 points against the Trail Blazers and 31 versus the Lakers. Edwards exited early in a game against Indiana on October 26, which was his last appearance.

The three-time All-Star is coming off a breakout 2024–25 season, where he averaged a career-high 27.6 points and 4.5 assists across 79 games.
