Stephen Curry scored 28 points, including five 3-pointers, and Moses Moody added 24 points off the bench with five triples as the Golden State Warriors overcame the Phoenix Suns 118-107 on Tuesday night at Chase Center.

Golden State built an early lead, jumping ahead 33-19 after the first quarter and leading 68-49 at halftime despite a short-handed Phoenix squad missing Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green.

Devin Booker scored a season-high 38 points for the Suns, hitting all 11 of his free throws, while Mark Williams added 16 points and 16 rebounds, and Grayson Allen contributed 16 points.

The Suns cut the deficit to nine points with a 20-6 run to close the third quarter, making it 92-83, but the Warriors maintained control behind a balanced attack. Quinten Post contributed 14 points with four 3-pointers, Brandin Podziemski scored 13, and Buddy Hield added 12.

Golden State improved to 5-3 overall and 4-0 at home, extending Phoenix’s road losing streak to four games to start the season.

Jimmy Butler started for Golden State and helped spark an early 11-0 run, finishing with two points in 14 minutes before exiting with back soreness. Al Horford also sat out the second half as the team manages a toe injury.

Phoenix, now 3-5, will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, aiming to recover from a second consecutive loss. Despite their injuries, the Suns received strong performances from Booker and Williams but could not overcome Golden State’s efficient shooting and depth.

The Warriors will travel to Sacramento for the back end of their back-to-back on Wednesday night.
