After posting their highest win total since the 2005/06 season, the Pistons are expected to focus on upgrading their perimeter shooting and secondary playmaking this offseason, according to Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press.

Sankofa explored several major trade possibilities that could help address those needs, including the widely discussed three-team scenario involving Giannis Antetokounmpo that would bring Tyler Herro to Detroit.

While Herro could provide scoring and shot creation, questions remain regarding his durability, defensive impact, and upcoming contract situation.

The report also outlined potential trade frameworks involving Pelicans wing Trey Murphy III and Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, both of whom could help strengthen Detroit’s offense in different ways.

As the Pistons look to build on their breakthrough season, adding another high-level creator or shooter appears to be among the organization’s top priorities.
