CSKA Moscow coach Dimitris Itoudis has revealed that he is in talks for a new deal with the club and the Greek is also aiming to surpass Real Madrid as the Euroleague’s most successful club.

The Muscovites won their seventh Euroleague title in Berlin last week and their first crown since 2008 and even though he hasn’t finalised a new deal, Itoudis wants CSKA to win more.

“Yes it’s true, it was an expression of their faith in me and my work,” Itoudis admitted. “These days we will sit down to formalize a new contract. I want to stay and continue working.

“Before my eyes lays a new goal to reach and surpass Real Madrid. We have seven Euroleague trophies now and Real Madrid has nine. They are a great club, but in life you should always have goals. And what we want to do in the upcoming seasons is to bring many successes and titles to the club, which is one of the biggest in Europe.”
