The Chicago Bulls have waived forward Mouhamadou Gueye, the team confirmed Thursday. Gueye, 27, had joined the roster on a short-term basis last month as the team explored depth options in the frontcourt.

Gueye most recently played for the Capital City Go-Go in the G League, averaging 9.7 points, five rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 18 games. He shot 55.6% from the field and remained a consistent rim protector, recording nearly a block per contest.

The Senegalese-American began his professional career with the Texas Legends in 2022 after a brief stint with the Dallas Mavericks. He later played for Raptors 905, posting 13.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game during the 2023–24 season.

Toronto signed Gueye in February 2024, giving him his first NBA opportunity. He appeared in 11 games for the Raptors, averaging 2.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in under 11 minutes per contest.

A neck injury in late 2023 slowed Gueye’s progression, but his athleticism and defensive presence kept him on NBA teams’ radar. At 6-foot-9 with a long wingspan, he has been recognized for energy plays, shot-blocking, and rebounding.
