San Antonio outlasted Utah 134-130 in overtime during a preseason clash at Frost Bank Center on Friday night. The victory improved the Spurs to 3-0 while leaving the Jazz at 0-2.

San Antonio grabbed a 34-30 edge after the first quarter. Victor Wembanyama scored 10 points including an alley-oop dunk and free throws.

Devin Vassell added seven points with a steal and layup late in the period. Keyonte George tallied three points and two assists for Utah.

The Spurs extended their lead to 72-55 by halftime behind a 38-25 second-quarter run. Wembanyama drained a three-pointer and converted free throws for 12 more points.

Brice Sensabaugh erupted for 15 points in the frame on efficient shooting. Utah’s Jusuf Nurkic contributed 12 points with two triples.

Utah mounted a comeback in the third quarter outscoring San Antonio 35-23 to trail 95-90. Sensabaugh continued his hot hand with eight points including a layup and free throws.

Harrison Ingram scored seven points off the bench for the hosts. Nurkic picked up four points but drew fouls that limited his time.

The fourth quarter featured multiple ties as both teams traded blows. Ace Bailey nailed a step-back three to level the score at 98-98 with under 11 minutes left.

David Jones-Garcia delivered 12 points in the period including a putback layup. Walter Clayton Jr. added 16 points with a dunk that tied it at 122-122 at the buzzer.

Utah’s Kevin Love scored eight points mostly from deep but fouled out late. San Antonio’s Jordan McLaughlin sat out due to coach’s decision.

Overtime saw San Antonio pull ahead early with Jones-Garcia’s driving layup for a 124-122 lead. Wembanyama added two points from the line in his 16 minutes.

Clayton Jr. responded with a layup to tie it at 124 but the Spurs closed strong. Jones-Garcia sealed the win with a fadeaway and free throws for 20 total points.

Dylan Harper, the Spurs’ No. pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, made his preseason debut, finishing with nine points in 18 minutes off the bench.

Sensabaugh led Utah with 26 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Bailey finished with 20 points including a late putback.

Vassell ended with 18 points and three assists for San Antonio. The Spurs forced 11 turnovers converting them into 19 points.

Utah shot 91.9 percent from the line making 34 of 37 attempts. San Antonio dominated the paint with 50 points there.

The Spurs committed 14 turnovers but limited Utah to one block. Both squads combined for 78 free throws attempted.

This overtime battle tested San Antonio’s depth with Wembanyama playing just 16 minutes. Utah’s bench produced 66 points led by Sensabaugh’s outburst.

Mo Bamba and Oscar Tshiebwe did not play for the Jazz due to coach’s decision.
