The Toronto Raptors defeated the Sacramento Kings 130-122 on Wednesday at Golden 1 Center. Brandon Ingram scored 21 points to lead the visitors in their second preseason win.
Toronto opened a 36-27 lead after the first quarter. Ingram drained three three-pointers during a 14-2 run midway through the period.
Sacramento cut the deficit to four in the second, trailing 65-52 at halftime. Domantas Sabonis tallied 19 points and four rebounds for the hosts.
The Raptors extended the advantage to 97-78 entering the fourth behind RJ Barrett’s 13 points. Barrett added four assists before exiting early.
Scottie Barnes sat out for Toronto. De’Aaron Fox did not play for Sacramento due to coach’s decision.
Sacramento mounted a 26-point third-quarter rally to pull within five. Zach LaVine finished with 16 points off the bench.
The Kings tied it at 120 on a dunk by Cardwell with 10 seconds left. Toronto responded with free throws from Hepburn to seal the outcome.
The Raptors shot 48.4% from the field and scored 42 points in the paint. They forced 18 turnovers while committing 16.
Sacramento connected on 50% of attempts and grabbed 43 rebounds. The Kings scored 60 points inside.
Ingram grabbed six rebounds and dished three assists in 23 minutes. Sabonis added one assist despite four turnovers.
Gradey Dick contributed 14 points with two steals. DeMar DeRozan scored six points in 23 minutes for Sacramento.
Immanuel Quickley tallied eight points and four assists. Keegan Murray added six points with three blocks.
Toronto’s bench produced 55 points. Sacramento reserves scored 61.
