Dubai Basketball confirmed the signing of Turkish center Sertac Sanli ahead of the team’s debut in the EuroLeague for the 2025-26 season. Sanli joins a roster featuring established international talent, aiming to compete at the highest European level.
Sanli, 34, won his second EuroLeague title with Fenerbahce in May, defeating Panathinaikos in the semifinals and Monaco in the championship game. He previously claimed a EuroLeague championship in 2021 with Anadolu Efes, becoming the first Turkish player to win titles with both top Turkish clubs.
The veteran big man played 35 games in the 2024-25 EuroLeague season for Fenerbahce, averaging 5.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.1 blocks per contest while shooting 61.8% from the field. His experience in Europe’s elite competition is expected to provide leadership and stability for Dubai’s inaugural campaign.
Dubai’s roster now includes key international players like Davis Bertans, Kosta Kondic, and Filip Petrusev, along with veterans such as Justin Anderson and Mfiondu Kabengele. The team will be guided by head coach Jurica Golemac, who will oversee integrating Sanli into the squad.
The addition of Sanli comes after his departure from Fenerbahce in September, providing Dubai with one of the most decorated players available in the European market.
