The Chicago Bulls have released guard Caleb Grill, according to the NBA.com’s transaction log.
Grill, who went undrafted in June, had signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Bulls in July, giving him an opportunity to compete in training camp and potentially earn a spot with the organization’s G League affiliate.
The 6’3″ guard made his first impression with Chicago in Summer League, appearing in four contests and averaging 8.0 points and 1.3 steals across 15 minutes per game.
He showed efficiency as well, hitting 44.4% of his shots from the field and 36.4% from beyond the arc.
His best outing came in his final game in Las Vegas, when he erupted for 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, a performance that highlighted his ability to score in bunches.
The 25-year-old guard brought plenty of experience with him, having played six seasons at the collegiate level.
He spent time at multiple programs before finishing his career with Missouri, where he enjoyed a strong senior campaign in 2024/25.
Grill averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while proving himself as a reliable perimeter shooter, connecting on nearly 40% of his three-point attempts.
Although his time with the Bulls’ NBA roster has come to a close, Grill still has a pathway within the organization.
Thanks to the Exhibit 10 clause, he is eligible to join the Windy City Bulls, Chicago’s G League affiliate, and can earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if he remains with the team for at least 60 days.
That would give him a chance to continue developing his game while staying within reach of a potential NBA call-up.
