The Oklahoma City Thunder has announced the signing of center Branden Carlson to a Two-Way Contract, keeping the 7-foot, 236-pound big man within the organization.
Carlson, who hails from Utah, gained experience at both the NBA and G League levels during the previous season.
With the Thunder, he suited up in 32 games, contributing 3.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest while averaging just under eight minutes of playing time.
Though his role was limited at the NBA level, he showed flashes of potential as a rotation player.
Carlson made an even bigger impact with the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.
Starting all 10 games he appeared in, Carlson displayed his versatility and two-way presence, averaging 17.4 points on an efficient 48.8 percent shooting clip.
He also added 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.5 blocks per game in 28.2 minutes of action, underscoring his ability to score, protect the rim, and contribute across the box score.
By securing Carlson on a Two-Way deal, the Thunder ensures he can continue to develop his skills while splitting time between the NBA roster and the Blue, offering depth to Oklahoma City’s frontcourt rotation.
