The Oklahoma City Thunder has officially signed center Branden Carlson to a 10-day contract, bringing the skilled big man back into their lineup.
Standing 7 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds, Carlson has already made an impact with the Thunder earlier this season.
Originally signed on November 16, he has appeared in seven games with the team, showcasing his ability to contribute at the NBA level.
Known for his size, versatility, and strong defensive presence, Carlson offers valuable depth to the Thunder’s frontcourt as they navigate the season.
In addition to his appearances with the Thunder, Carlson has also excelled with the Oklahoma City Blue, the team’s affiliate in the NBA G League.
Over five games, all of which he started, the Utah native delivered standout performances, averaging an impressive 15.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 25.6 minutes per game.
His ability to score efficiently, dominate the glass, and protect the rim makes him a well-rounded addition to the Thunder’s rotation.
As the Thunder continue to build their roster and develop talent, Carlson’s return on a 10-day deal provides both the player and the organization with a valuable opportunity.
Carlson will look to prove himself further at the NBA level, while the Thunder gain flexibility and additional depth to compete in the competitive Western Conference.
