Olympiacos announced the signing of French guard Frank Ntilikina on a two-year contract, ending speculation about their backcourt reinforcements. The move comes ahead of the team’s upcoming EuroLeague and Greek domestic season commitments.

Head coach Giorgos Bartzokas previously stressed the urgent need for a guard after initial talks with Partizan fell through. The agreement with Ntilikina resolves the gap in the roster, allowing the Reds to enter competitive fixtures with more stability.

Ntilikina, a former 2017 NBA lottery pick, brings experience from stints with New York, Dallas, and Charlotte in the NBA, as well as European competitions. He has also logged significant minutes in EuroLeague play, averaging 6.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in the 2024-25 season.

Ntilikina teams up with fellow Frenchmen Evan Fournier and Mustapha Fall in Piraeous. The guard joins a backcourt that includes Fournier, Thomas Walkup, Saben Lee, Tyler Dorsey, and Giannoulis Larentzakis, though Keenan Evans remains sidelined with an injury.

Olympiacos opens domestic play in the Stoiximan Super Cup against Karditsa Iaponiki, with a win propelling them to the final against either AEK or Promitheas. The EuroLeague campaign begins with a double-game week against Baskonia and Real Madrid, highlighting the need for depth at guard.

Partizan initially hesitated on the transfer, requesting a $300,000 buyout fee, which Olympiacos declined. The successful signing now allows the Reds to focus on preseason preparations and upcoming competitive fixtures without further uncertainty.
