The Utah Jazz have reached an agreement with center Mo Bamba, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. The deal adds a seven-foot presence to Utah’s roster ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has spent time with the Magic, Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, and Pelicans. Over seven NBA seasons, he has averaged 6.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.

In the 2024-25 season, Bamba appeared in 28 games for the Clippers and four games for the Pelicans, producing 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest. His shot-blocking ability has remained a consistent asset throughout his career.

The Jazz, coming off a season where they held multiple first- and second-round picks in the 2025 NBA Draft, are looking to strengthen their interior defense. Bamba joins a frontcourt featuring Walker Kessler, Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love, and Jusuf Nurkic.

Utah’s coaching staff, led by Will Hardy, will integrate Bamba into rotations that already include emerging talent like Ace Bailey and Taylor Hendricks. The move provides the Jazz with additional size and rim protection for both the NBA and Euro-style spacing demands.
