Talen Horton-Tucker has officially joined Fenerbahce, the reigning EuroLeague champions, following weeks of speculation. The Turkish powerhouse confirmed the signing after no NBA offer emerged that could alter the guard’s decision.

“Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team has reached a two-year deal with American guard Talen Horton-Tucker,” the club’s statement read.

Born in Chicago in 2000, Horton-Tucker began his career at Iowa State, averaging 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in his lone college season before entering the 2019 NBA Draft.

Selected 46th overall by Orlando and immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, he split his rookie year between the Lakers and their G League affiliate.

That season ended with a championship ring in L.A., as Horton-Tucker contributed both in the G League (18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists) and during limited NBA minutes.

Over the next three seasons, Horton-Tucker grew into a regular rotation player. With the Lakers, he averaged close to double figures in scoring, highlighted by 10 points per game in 2021-22.

A trade to the Utah Jazz followed, where he played two seasons, putting up averages of 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 2022-23, and then 10.1 points the following year.

He closed out the 2024-25 campaign with the Chicago Bulls, contributing 6.5 points across 58 games.

Across his NBA career, the versatile guard logged 305 games with averages of 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per contest, reaching the 20-point mark in 21 games and recording eight double-doubles.

Known for his strong physical frame and ability to both score and create plays, Horton-Tucker now embarks on his first European adventure. Fenerbahce expressed optimism about the move.

“We hope this agreement will be beneficial for our club and Talen Horton-Tucker, and we hope he experiences victorious seasons in the yellow and navy jersey.”
