The Brooklyn Nets have signed D’Andre “Dre” Davis to a partially guaranteed standard NBA contract, according to a report from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

League sources told Scotto that Davis will receive $85,300 guaranteed, but he is expected to be waived. The salary will still count against Brooklyn’s cap.

The transaction mirrors the team’s recent deal with David Muoka, who was also signed and later waived. Such sign-and-waive moves are common for teams seeking to secure players’ rights and manage salary cap obligations.

Davis, a 6-foot-6 guard-forward from Indianapolis, finished his college career at Ole Miss in the 2024-25 season. He averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, starting all 34 contests for the Rebels.

Before transferring to Ole Miss, Davis played two seasons at Louisville and two at Seton Hall. His most productive stretch came with the Pirates in 2023-24, where he posted 15.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, earning NIT All-Tournament Team honors.

Across his five-year NCAA career, Davis averaged 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 144 games, showing consistency as a scorer and defender. His efficiency included a career shooting mark of 46.4 percent from the field.

At Lawrence Central High School in Indiana, Davis was a four-star recruit and finalist for the state’s Mr. Basketball award. He averaged 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds as a senior, later choosing Louisville over several high-major programs.
