The Indiana Pacers announced Tuesday that the team has signed forward Jalen Slawson to an Exhibit 10 contract, giving him the chance to compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Slawson, 25, was originally selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 54th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He appeared in 12 games as a rookie, averaging 0.7 points in limited minutes.

After leaving Sacramento, Slawson signed with the Orlando Magic in September 2024 but was waived before the regular season. He then joined the Osceola Magic in the G League, where he carved out a larger role.

In 34 games with Osceola during the 2024-25 season, the 6-foot-7 forward averaged 11.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 30.1 minutes. His versatility as a rebounder and playmaker stood out, even as he continued to develop his three-point shooting at 25.2 percent.

Slawson previously played for the Stockton Kings in the G League, where he averaged 13.6 points and 8.1 rebounds across 30 contests in 2023-24.

For Indiana, the signing adds depth to a roster that already features Pascal Siakam, Obi Toppin, and Jarace Walker in the forward rotation. Slawson will compete against a crowded frontcourt for an opportunity to stick with the team.

The Exhibit 10 deal gives the Pacers flexibility. If Slawson does not make the regular-season roster, the contract allows Indiana to retain his G League rights with the Mad Ants and provide a bonus should he stay with the affiliate.
