
Trey Lyles is on the verge of leaving the NBA to continue his career in Europe. According to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews.com, the free agent forward is finalizing a contract with Real Madrid.
Lyles, 28, spent the past three and a half seasons with the Sacramento Kings. He appeared in 69 games last season, averaging 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 34% from three-point range in just under 20 minutes per game.
The Canadian big man has logged 10 years in the NBA since being selected 12th overall in the 2015 draft by the Utah Jazz.
Across 650 career games with Utah, Denver, San Antonio, Detroit, and Sacramento, Lyles has averaged 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds on 44.1% shooting from the field.
His most productive season came in 2017–18 with the Nuggets, when he posted 9.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest while shooting nearly 49% overall.
He also made playoff appearances with Utah, Denver, and Sacramento, including a key rotation role in the Kings’ 2023 first-round series against Golden State.
