The Atlanta Hawks announced the signing of guard Dwight Murray Jr. and forward Javan Johnson to their offseason roster, the team confirmed in a press release, per Hoops Rumors.

Johnson, 26, went undrafted in 2023 after playing at Troy, Iowa State, and DePaul, and spent most of his first two professional seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League.

Last season in Santa Cruz, Johnson averaged 13.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over 26.9 minutes per game, shooting .417 from the field, .374 from three, and .912 from the free-throw line.

Atlanta acquired Johnson’s returning rights last month in a three-team trade involving the Salt Lake City Stars and the College Park Skyhawks, the Hawks’ G League affiliate.

Murray, a 6’0″ guard from Austell, Georgia, also went undrafted in 2023 and played last season with the Skyhawks, starting 29 of 43 games and averaging 9.0 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 23.9 minutes.

The Hawks did not provide specifics on the contracts for Murray or Johnson, but both deals are believed to include Exhibit 10 clauses, offering potential bonuses of up to $85,300 if waived and retained by College Park for at least 60 days.

Both players now qualify as returning-rights members for the Skyhawks, giving Atlanta flexibility to develop them in the G League while keeping them available for NBA call-ups.
