Malcolm Brogdon is drawing interest from multiple contenders as he evaluates his next move in free agency.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves are among the teams monitoring the veteran guard. His market remains fluid as franchises address roster and salary-cap concerns heading into the 2025–26 season.

Golden State’s level of pursuit depends on how its situation with restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga is resolved. The Warriors are also finalizing deals expected to bring Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, and rookie Will Richard onto the roster. Once those moves are complete, the organization will have greater clarity on its payroll flexibility and possible room for Brogdon.

The Knicks have been in search of backcourt depth. Adding a stabilizing guard like Brogdon would provide insurance behind Jalen Brunson while boosting second-unit playmaking.

Minnesota has kept tabs on available veterans. With Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle leading the roster, the Timberwolves view Brogdon as a possible steady hand who could run the offense when Edwards rests.

Brogdon, 32, became a free agent after finishing last season with the Washington Wizards. He averaged 12.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 24 games while shooting 43.3% from the field. However, his three-point accuracy dipped to a career-low 28.6%.

Despite the shooting decline, Brogdon remains respected around the league for his versatility and ability to fill either guard spot. He has played for the Bucks, Pacers, Celtics, Blazers, and Wizards over his nine-year career, earning the 2017 Rookie of the Year award and appearing in 52 postseason games.
