Tyronn Lue addressed questions about LeBron James training at the former Los Angeles Clippers practice facility.

The Lakers star was recently photographed at the Honey Training Center in Playa Vista, sparking trade rumors and widespread speculation.

“Yeah, I know. I seen that. Yeah, I saw that,” Lue said, via HoopsHype, when asked about James’ workout, appearing cautious about the implications.

LeBron’s presence at the facility raised eyebrows because the Clippers branding was still visible, though the site is now owned by Klutch Sports Group.

Shannon Sharpe noted on Club Shay Shay that James is on an expiring contract, prompting curiosity about his choice of training location. Lue responded, “I don’t even know if I can speak on that.”

Klutch Sports Group purchased the former Clippers practice center and uses it as an office and training hub for its athletes, including James. The visible logos remain simply because the rebranding has not been completed.

The photos were taken in July, shortly after James exercised his player option to remain with the Lakers for the 2025–26 season. The timing reignited trade speculation, especially as Los Angeles reshapes its roster around Luka Doncic.

Sources confirmed that James’ workout was a routine session at his agency’s facility, not an indication of a move to the Clippers.

Despite the official explanation, some analysts have interpreted the post as a possible signal to encourage the Lakers to pursue more significant roster upgrades.
