A recent workout photo of LeBron James featuring a Los Angeles Clippers logo in the background stirred speculation online—but the explanation is far more mundane than fans initially believed.
The image, which circulated widely on social media, showed the Lakers star mid-training with clear Clippers branding behind him.
This immediately led to questions about his intentions, especially given his ongoing contract situation with Los Angeles.
However, Klutch Sports Group quickly clarified the context. According to a statement provided to For The Win, the photo was taken at the agency’s training facility in Playa Vista—not at the Clippers’ current practice site.
The confusion stems from the fact that Klutch now occupies the former Honey Training Center, which the Clippers vacated after opening their new 85,000-square-foot practice facility in Inglewood.
Though the Clippers no longer use the old gym, their logos and branding remain on the walls.
Klutch emphasized that James was simply training at the agency’s offices, as many of its clients regularly do when in Los Angeles.
There is no indication that the 20-time All-Star is planning any move across town.
