The best shooter of all time, but the greatest of all time is another.

NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal is always taking sides with the Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, especially in such “goat” conversations and interviews.

In speaking of recent interviews, O’Neal was asked about his take on a five-versus-five match between him and Curry in both prime eras.

“Steph [wins], he is a better shooter, better freethrow shooter,” O’Neal said via Overtime on X. “He had no weaknesses, I had one.”

Shaq puts Curry on GOAT conversations

The Hall of Famer placed Curry in the greatest player of all time conversations, as he had four championships and two MVPs in his resume.

“The reason why Stephen Curry is my favorite player is because I’ve never seen anybody do it like he does,” said O’Neal per The Big Podcast with Shaq. “I’ve seen real greatness. If you’re not equal to or above that, you get no props from me. All the great players have certain titles. It’s only one, two, or three guys that you can talk about as the greatest ever.

“No one’s going to beat the best player in the world, Stephen Curry.”

Ever since Curry acquired his fourth title, most analysts have been talking about his greatness, as O’Neal often praises what he has done, even though he was underrated in the early years of his career.

Aside from that, the three-point king played a pivotal role in the recent Gold Medal match against France in the Olympics.

“Bro had to have so much aura as he single-handedly carried Team USA with Lebron and KD in the Olympic Finals… He let the French know that this is basketball, not a high jump.”

O’Neal’s main take was that Curry’s scouting report was known as below NBA standard, but he is now known as the greatest shooter of all time, which means he became the hardest worker to be that somebody.
