FC Bayern Munich has secured Lithuanian guard Rokas Jokubaitis from Maccabi Tel Aviv, announcing a three-year contract on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old arrives in Germany after a breakout EuroLeague campaign, where he averaged 12.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.0 steal over 28 games. He also shot an impressive 60.2% on two-point attempts, making him one of the most efficient scoring guards in the competition.
Jokubaitis, standing 1.93 meters, brings seven seasons of EuroLeague experience with Zalgiris Kaunas, FC Barcelona, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. His move strengthens Bayern’s backcourt as the club looks to compete at the top of the German Bundesliga and make a deep run in Europe.
The Lithuanian guard first rose to prominence with Zalgiris, logging 53 EuroLeague appearances between 2018 and 2021. His strong play earned him a move to Barcelona, where he reached the EuroLeague Final Four in both 2022 and 2023.
In his debut season with the Spanish club, Jokubaitis averaged 7.1 points per game and won the EuroLeague Rising Star Award. That accolade recognized him as the league’s top young talent, cementing his status as one of Europe’s most promising guards.
Jokubaitis has collected multiple domestic titles, winning league championships in both Lithuania and Spain. He has also lifted national cup trophies in Lithuania, Spain, and Israel, demonstrating success across several top-tier competitions.
