The Boston Celtics have signed free agent forward Chris Boucher to a one-year contract worth $3.3 million, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Boucher’s deal is fully guaranteed, signaling a clear role for the veteran in Boston’s frontcourt rotation.

Boucher spent the last eight seasons with the Toronto Raptors, where he set franchise records for points, rebounds, blocks, minutes, and games played off the bench. He was also the final active member of Toronto’s 2019 NBA championship team.

Over his career, Boucher has been known for his rim protection and efficient scoring inside and out. Last season with Toronto, he averaged 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks per game, shooting nearly 49% from the field and 36% from three-point range.

The 32-year-old forward brings versatility to the Celtics, capable of playing both power forward and center positions. His defensive presence and ability to stretch the floor should complement Boston’s core lineup as they pursue another deep playoff run.
