Chris Jent has reportedly become the frontrunner to assume the role of offensive coordinator on Mike Brown’s coaching staff with the New York Knicks, according to information shared by Frank Isola.

Jent, who recently led the Charlotte Hornets to a championship in the NBA Summer League, is gaining momentum as the preferred choice for the position.

Other names believed to be in the mix for the role include Greg St. Jean and Patrick Mutombo, though neither is considered the current favorite.

Meanwhile, several notable coaching figures – James Borrego, Jay Triano, and Pablo Prigioni – have already declined opportunities to join the Knicks in this capacity.

As the Knicks continue to reshape their coaching team under Brown, Jent’s experience and recent success may position him as a key addition focused on revamping the team’s offensive strategy.
