Brian Skinner: Allen Iverson never stopped breathing beyond belief out there

Former Philadelphia 76er Brian Skinner thought Allen Iverson was as talented as it gets.

“A.I. was probably one of the guys that I saw that he was just probably roughly the most talented guy that I’ve ever seen before. He could go for 3 months and not really do too much of anything. He wouldn’t lift. He didn’t get extra shots up. He hooped, and that’s what he did. He hooped. He would come in and he was breathing beyond belief of how hard he was breathing, but he never stopped. He would come in, training staff, we’d have to get our lifts in — and he’d come in and lift one dumbbell, and he’d walk out and they just checked him off. He’s got 50 points the next game. The next game: 56 points, 60 points.”
