Brandon Miller said his surgically repaired right wrist is “probably around 90-95 percent now” and expects to be ready for the start of next season, per The Charlotte Observer’s Langston Wertz Jr.

Miller had surgery in January to repair a torn scapholunate ligament. The 2023 No. 2 pick was named to the All-Rookie First Team last season and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting.

In 27 games this season, Miller averaged 21.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists with a .403/.355/.861 shooting line.

“Playing (27) games, that was the hardest thing of my career right there,” he said. “Just watching basketball the whole season.”

He’s resumed contact drills and knew he was ready to ramp up when he could shoot pain-free.

“Not everything’s going to be a smooth route. You’re going to have ups and downs, a lot of bumps and curves,” Miller said.

Miller is hopeful that he and LaMelo Ball can stay healthy: “Having us two on the floor can make the big difference (in having) a winning team.”

He also praised rookies Kon Knueppel and Liam McNeeley: “They are going to bring space… Their confidence is going to be the biggest thing.”
