Veteran sharpshooter Seth Curry could be on his way back to the Golden State Warriors.

According to Anthony Slater of ESPN, there is mutual interest between the Warriors and Curry as the team explores bench shooting options during the offseason.

Curry, 34, last played for the Warriors’ G League affiliate in 2013–14 and briefly signed with the main roster before building a career as a high-level role player across the league.

The former Hornets guard is now an unrestricted free agent after completing a one-year, $3.3 million deal with Charlotte in 2024–25. He shot 45.6% from three-point range this past season over 68 games.

The Warriors, who are looking to retool around Stephen Curry without committing to a full rebuild, have prioritized adding shooting, athleticism, and scoring in free agency. Slater noted that Seth Curry’s potential fit and family connection could make him an appealing target for Golden State’s front office.

While the team is also evaluating a reunion with DeAnthony Melton, Curry’s skill set addresses a key need: floor spacing off the bench.

Curry averaged 6.5 points on 47.8% shooting from the field last season between stints with Dallas and Charlotte. Despite a reduced role, he remained one of the NBA’s most efficient spot-up shooters.

Over his 11-year career, Curry has shot 43.3% from three, making him one of the most consistent long-range threats in league history.

Golden State’s roster currently lacks perimeter scoring outside of its starting backcourt, and Curry’s ability to contribute in short bursts could give the second unit a needed boost.

Curry’s most productive playoff stretch came with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2021, when he averaged 18.8 points per game on 50.6% shooting from three over 12 games.

His familiarity with the organization and his off-court ties — as Stephen Curry’s younger brother — only enhance the potential synergy in a low-cost reunion.
