Josh Giddey skipping games amid $30M salary dispute

Josh Giddey has been noticeably absent from the sidelines during the Chicago Bulls’ Summer League games in Las Vegas, a decision that appears to be tied to ongoing contract negotiations.

According to reporting from Jake Fischer, the Australian guard and his representatives are aiming for a new deal that would pay him approximately $30 million per year.

However, the Bulls’ front office has been reluctant to meet that price point. Sources indicate that Chicago’s offers have fallen significantly short, reportedly landing in the $20 million range annually – roughly $10 million less than what Giddey is seeking.

Despite being in Las Vegas since the start of Summer League action, the versatile ball-handler has not attended either of the Bulls’ first two games, signaling possible tension between the two sides amid these stalled contract talks.

His camp remains firm on the $30 million demand, showing no signs of backing down as negotiations continue.
