Sacramento Kings rookie Nique Clifford recently touched on where his mentality as a complete player comes from (acquired in draft day trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder/selected 24th overall).

“I think it goes back to how I was raised. My dad always taught me to play both ends of the floor. You had to take pride offensively just as much as you took pride defensively and not wanting your man to score on you. So I just was instilled with that from a young age, and you see the great players: Michael Jordans and Kobes and people like that — they play both sides of the floor, and that’s kinda what I want to be. I feel like that’s true greatness, is being able to impact in so many different ways.”
