The Memphis Grizzlies are locking in guard Cam Spencer on a new four-year, $10.5 million contract, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. The deal includes three fully guaranteed seasons, marking a significant commitment from the franchise.
Spencer, 25, entered the league as the 53rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, originally selected by the Detroit Pistons. He was traded to the Grizzlies on draft night and spent his rookie year on a two-way deal.
During the 2024-25 season, the Rutgers product appeared in 25 games for Memphis. He averaged 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 41.5 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
Despite limited minutes, Spencer demonstrated reliable floor spacing and perimeter shooting, qualities that likely influenced the Grizzlies’ decision to restructure his agreement. He played just over 10 minutes per contest, contributing consistent energy off the bench.
Initially reported as a two-year, $4.5 million fully guaranteed contract, the updated agreement extends Spencer’s stay in Memphis to four seasons.
The Grizzlies finished last season with a 48-34 record, securing the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoffs before being swept by the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
