Blake Griffin reflected on his most memorable dunks during an appearance on The Adam Friedland Show, where he joked about his iconic slam over Kendrick Perkins. The former NBA forward claimed Perkins “deleted his Twitter” following the play, suggesting it deserves a spot on his résumé.

When asked by the host if he ever felt bad after a poster dunk, Griffin answered firmly, via HoopsHype: “No.” Pressed further about whether he felt any sympathy if the defender’s wife was present or if they had just experienced personal tragedy, the six-time All-Star maintained that he only felt bad for the situation — not the dunk itself.

The host then asked if anyone had ever cried after being dunked on. Griffin replied, “I don’t know, but Kendrick Perkins deleted his Twitter after I dunked on him. That’s like—I think that should be on my résumé.”

Griffin’s dunk on Perkins, which happened in January 2012 when the Clippers hosted the Thunder, remains one of the most-watched highlights of the decade. The play featured Griffin catching a lob pass, elevating over Perkins, and throwing down a powerful one-handed slam that electrified the crowd at Staples Center.

Perkins, who was then known for his tough defensive presence, became the subject of countless memes and discussions on social media after the dunk. Although he did not literally delete his account at the time, the remark underscores how embarrassing the moment was for Perkins and how much it resonated with fans.

Throughout his 12-year NBA career, Griffin built a reputation for his high-flying dunks, particularly during his early years with the Los Angeles Clippers. Alongside Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan, Griffin helped usher in the Clippers’ “Lob City” era, making the team one of the league’s must-watch squads.
