Real Madrid officially announced the signing of German swingman David Krämer on Friday.
Krämer, 28, agreed to a one-year deal with Los Blancos after a strong campaign with La Laguna Tenerife in Spain’s ACB, where he averaged 11.1 points over 37 games. The move marks his return to EuroLeague competition following a brief stint with FC Bayern Munich during the 2020–21 season.
Standing at 1.96 meters, Krämer brings scoring, athleticism, and defensive energy to the Spanish powerhouse. While his previous EuroLeague experience was limited — just six games with Bayern, totaling 6 points and 2 steals — his development since then has been evident on both the club and international stages.
The Austrian-born guard started his professional career with Gunners Oberwart before moving through the German leagues with Weisserhorn Youngstars, ratiopharm Ulm, and Basketball Loewen Braunschweig. He also spent time in the NBA G League, playing for the Northern Arizona Suns and Austin Spurs.
In addition to his club success, Krämer played a key role for the German national team that captured gold at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
