Olympiacos announced the signing of Kostas Antetokounmpo on a two-year contract, bringing the Greek big man back to Athens after his stint in Spain. The EuroLeague and NBA champion joins the Reds after spending the latter part of last season with UCAM Murcia.

Antetokounmpo, 27, left Panathinaikos midway through the 2024-25 season and moved to Murcia, where he averaged 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assist in 14 Spanish League games. In the Basketball Champions League, he contributed 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest in limited minutes.

Before departing Panathinaikos, he appeared in four EuroLeague games during the season, averaging 2.5 points over 6.8 minutes per outing. He also helped Panathinaikos secure the EuroLeague title in 2023-24 and the Greek championship that same year.

Antetokounmpo’s career highlights include winning an NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and a French League championship with ASVEL Villeurbanne in 2022.

Starting his professional journey in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2018-19 season, Antetokounmpo also played for the Lakers, Texas Legends, South Bay Lakers, and Windy City Bulls in the United States. His European career features stops at ASVEL, Fenerbahce, Panathinaikos, and Murcia.
