Spain has officially unveiled its 15-man preliminary roster for EuroBasket 2025, with national team head coach Sergio Scariolo confirming this will be his final tournament in charge.
The announcement was made Wednesday at Iberia’s headquarters in Madrid, with the roster featuring a blend of veteran leaders and emerging talent.
Eight members of the 2022 EuroBasket championship team return, including Santi Aldama, Lorenzo Brown, Dario Brizuela, and the Hernangomez brothers.
Scariolo emphasized Spain’s commitment to competitiveness while acknowledging the absence of veterans like Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez, as well as young prospects unavailable due to club obligations.
Preparation begins July 28 in Madrid and includes exhibition games in Malaga, Badalona, Paris, and Cologne before Spain tips off Group C action in Limassol alongside Greece, Italy, Georgia, Cyprus, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
