The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a three-year contract with free agent guard Ty Jerome, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. The deal is reportedly worth $28 million and includes a player option for the third year.
Jerome, 27, spent the 2024-25 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, appearing in 70 games and averaging 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He shot an efficient 51.6% from the field and 43.9% from three-point range during the regular season.
Prior to his stint with Cleveland, Jerome played for several teams including Golden State, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix. Over six NBA seasons, he has shown steady improvement as a reliable shooting guard capable of spacing the floor.
Memphis finished the 2024-25 regular season with a 48-34 record, securing the eighth seed in the competitive Western Conference.
This addition provides the Grizzlies with more depth at the guard position, complementing their core players as they prepare for the upcoming season. Jerome’s shooting efficiency and experience in playoff situations may help Memphis improve their backcourt rotation.
Jerome was previously on a two-year, $5 million contract with Cleveland before becoming a free agent.
