Sources have informed Jake Fischer of The Stein Line that the Atlanta Hawks have demonstrated a particularly strong and enthusiastic interest in re-signing Caris LeVert.

The guard was acquired midseason from the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of the trade that sent De’Andre Hunter to Cleveland back in February.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution had previously indicated that keeping LeVert in the fold is expected to be a high priority for the Hawks’ front office this offseason.

At 30 years old, LeVert proved to be a valuable asset for Atlanta down the stretch, finishing the season on a high note.

In 26 appearances off the bench, he averaged an impressive 14.9 points per game while shooting a highly efficient 48.2 percent from the field.

His ability to contribute consistently and provide scoring punch in a reserve role has made him an important piece of the Hawks’ rotation, which helps explain the team’s strong desire to retain him going forward.
