“It is amazing to be in this group, that is the dream for everybody. In 25 years and to be chosen among all those players and be with all this guys is such unforgettable experience. It is amazing”, said Siskauskas during the All-25 EuroLeague Team historical celebration.
“When i started to play I didn’t imagine I could reach all this. I started to play with the friends outside, we didn’t have any kind of sports school or something similar in my town. I was playing just for fun, but suddenly, year by year I was advancing and for me it was unbelievable what I could reach”, Ramunas remembered his beginnings.
The young boy who started to play outside, made the huge impact on modern basketball and now his effort was recognized by becoming one of the chosen All-25 players in 25 years of the EuroLeague.
“There are a lot of special moments for me during my career. One of them when I was playing for the national team, playing in the EuroLeague, all those steps. Of course trophies, you cannot forget trophies, EuroLeague trophies. And I have to be honest, there is nothing I would change when I look back. I don’t want to change anything, said Siskauskas who thinks that is always hard to play Final 4 because of the stakes. Sometimes clubs fall under that pressure.
“The hardest question to answer now is to choose winning team. All the teams that are here deserve to be here and when you are here everybody can win. All teams have the same chances. It is one game, not the series, so small things are most important, one more assist, one more rebound, and not hurry to finish the game. The winner will be the team that has that emotion and passion”, finished Siskauskas his conversation with Talkbasket.net.
