The Oklahoma City Thunder delivered a commanding 125-93 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night to secure a spot in the Western Conference finals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points on 12-of-19 shooting, while Jalen Williams added 24 points and seven assists in the blowout victory at Paycom Center.

Oklahoma City, the youngest team in NBA history to win 60+ games, now advances to its first conference finals since 2016.

The Thunder will host the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 on Tuesday.

After trailing by 11 in the first quarter, OKC erupted with a 39-20 second-quarter run to seize control and take a 60-46 halftime lead.

Chet Holmgren contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Alex Caruso finished +40 in 25 minutes off the bench.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic had 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, but also committed five turnovers and was a -23 in his 36 minutes.

Aaron Gordon started despite a strained hamstring but finished with just eight points in 24 minutes before being called for a flagrant-1 foul on Gilgeous-Alexander early in the third quarter.

That sequence led to four straight Thunder points, pushing the lead to 66-46.

Later in the period, rookie Cason Wallace threw down a fast break dunk over Jokic to extend the lead to 78-57, bringing the crowd to its feet.

From there, the Thunder coasted, outscoring the Nuggets 65-47 in the second half.

Denver shot just 39.3% from the field and 22.2% from three-point range, including 1-for-8 from deep by Jamal Murray, who finished with 13 points.

The Thunder’s defense forced 22 turnovers and recorded 16 steals, with Luguentz Dort and Wallace combining for four of them.

Oklahoma City shot 49% from the floor and held a +14 advantage in assists while turning the ball over only nine times.

Game 1 of the West finals tips off Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.
