Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is currently dealing with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, a moderate soft tissue injury that typically requires several weeks of recovery time.

While Gordon is reportedly exploring every possible option in an effort to suit up for the pivotal Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, the likelihood of him being ready in time remains slim.

The injury occurred late in Game 6, a hard-fought contest that the Nuggets won to keep their season alive and force a decisive Game 7.

Throughout much of the regular season and the postseason, Gordon has been battling through a lingering calf issue.

At this point, it’s uncertain whether the newly sustained hamstring strain is connected to or a result of the ongoing calf injury.

As of now, the Nuggets have listed Gordon as questionable on their official injury report for the upcoming game.

His potential absence would be a significant blow to Denver’s rotation, especially with a trip to the Western Conference Finals on the line.

The winner of Sunday’s matchup will advance to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in what promises to be a highly competitive series.
